HOW DOES ONE PASS THE STATE EXAM THE FIRST TIME OR NEXT TIME?
The answer to this question is quite simple, but not easy. In order to pass your test, the first time or the next time you take it, you must first of all know what is on the test before you take it, Secondly you must know which answer the person that wrote the question, considers to be most correct.

This is easier said than done. Why? Firstly, the Department of Real Estate is constantly writing new questions, it is said that they now have over 3000 questions in their data bank. Secondly, the DRE is currently using seven different salesperson tests that they constantly rotate. Wouldn't you agree that you would have a great advantage if you knew which tests the DRE will be using when you take your test ? J Marshall Schoonover has years of experience (30 years as of 2008) of analyzing how the DRE thinks and has most of their habits down to a science. He is normally able to narrow the question selection down, based upon when and where you are taking your state test!

WHY DOES GROUP EXAM TUTORING WORK?
One of the paramount reasons as to why group tutoring works is most schools cover a little bit of a lot of subjects, we cover a lot of a little bit of subjects that pertain to the test that you will be taking. To use a metaphor, have you ever watched an old world war II movie? When the military would fire off their anti-aircraft guns they seldom hit their target. Today, the United States, for example, has what they call cruise missiles that can zero in on a target from an amazing distance away with deadly accuracy. Our tutoring is like a cruise missile, the crash courses are like the old anti-aircraft guns. A second reason, as to why group tutoring works is that we use key words. We are convinced that you do not need to understand the material in order to pass the test. Paradoxically, you can know too much. We have found that the more you know about a given subject in the real world the more difficulty you will have with questions that pertain to that subject on the state test. The solution is word connection . For every question we show you we use key words to help yuo identify the question and select the correct answer. For example, if you see the word alcohol in a question you will find the word defeasible in the answer. If the question talks about a husband and wife, the answer will be community property. A third reason that the group tutoring works so well is that J Marshall Schoonover is a master communicator and he enjoys what he is doing.


HOW MUCH TUTORING (THERAPY) DO I NEED?
We recommend a modicum of two weekend modules. We accomplish more than the real estate schools do. We cut to the chase. We zero in on what you need to know for the test you are taking. We use key word reinforcement. We have designed modules that work very well for some testees. You will see more in the module of therapy than you need to see in order to pass your real estate test. The one weekend modules are enough for some people, however are not enough for everyone. The one weekend will probably work with a person that has had the time and/or discipline to study. ( By studying what we mean is reading a question, reading the four ostensible answers (do not premark the answers) selected an answer, immediately checking to see if you have selected the correct answer, if you have selected the correct answer moving along to the next question, if you seleted the wrong answer immediately reading the explanation. We recommend a minimum of 800 questions. This is easier said than done. You may not believe this, the material is extremely boring and time-consuming.) The two six-hour modules also sometimes works well for a person that has not had the time to study, but is skilled at taking test. You know if you are or not. If a person does not have the time to study, does not want to study or is not skilled at taking test one weekend module may not be enough. The solution is to take two weekend modules. This works very well for the individual that has not had the time to study or doesn't want to study. Yes some testees may require the two modules plus an additional two to four hours of private tutoring. The two to four additional hours of private tutoring works very well for the indivdual that wonts to play it safe. The important point is, you want to take the tutoring as close to the test as possible because of the fact we use key word memorization and the words only stay in your head for a few days.

HOW MUCH WILL IT COST ME, WHERE AND WHEN IS IT CONDUCTED?
Private tutoring is $100. per hour and group tutoring is $70. per hour per person. However, if you take one  Saturday (from 8:30 am until 6:00 pm) it will cost you $200 or one Sunday  (from 8:30 am until 6:00 pm) it will cost you $200. If you take one weekend ( Saturday and  Sunday) it will cost you $300. If you take two weekends of group therapy, back-to-back, it will cost you $450. Remember, Marshall's law says "you usually get what you pay for".

Group tutoring is offered in the Culver City or Marina Del Rey area, near the 405 Freeway, most Saturdays and Sundays 8:30 am  until 5:00 pm.
